I'm GWEN —YOGA TEACHER TRAINER, MENTOR & STRATEGIST

I’ve made many mistakes as a yoga teacher, and today, I want to share the biggest mistake I made when trying to earn more income teaching yoga.

The biggest mistake I made was constantly taking training after training, hoping that more certifications would lead to higher income. I loved studying and learning and thought that the more knowledgeable I became, the more students I would attract and the more my earnings would increase. But that wasn’t the case.

The Turning Point

The turning point came when I realized that simply accumulating knowledge wasn’t enough. I read all the books, took all the courses, and then realized that I did not have anyone to share this with. During drop-in classes, I did not have the space to share everything I knew. I needed to learn how to package my experience and knowledge into offers that truly served my students’ needs and made use of my skills.

Developing a Coaching Framework

This realization led me to develop a structured coaching framework that complemented my yoga teaching. Here are the steps I took:

  1. Conduct One-on-One Consultations: To understand each student’s unique challenges and goals.
  2. Incorporate Personalized Coaching Sessions: Address not just physical, but also mental and emotional well-being. Many clients needed help beyond the mat.
  3. Develop Comprehensive Programs: Include yoga and coaching. This led to significant improvements in student results and my income.
  4. Offer Regular Check-Ins: Provide follow-up sessions and continuous encouragement to keep students motivated and accountable.
  5. Track Progress: Adjust programs as needed to ensure students achieved their goals.

By implementing this framework, not only did I see incredible transformations in my students, but I also built stronger relationships with them. And the best part? My income doubled in the first month I put this approach into practice. It was a game changer for both my students and my career.

Becoming a Business Coach

This success inspired me to become a business coach. Many of my fellow yoga teachers wanted to learn how I grew Yoga Bliss, my in-person studio, to a multi six-figure business and then did the same online with our online yoga school. The online school started with a few courses and now has over 50 people enrolled in our 200h YTT and over 900 students taking self-paced yoga courses. This doesn’t even count all the students we’ve coached in 1:1 programs. The potential is limitless.

Invitation to Masterclass

If you’re ready to take your teaching to the next level and create high-ticket offers that provide holistic support to your students, I have an exciting opportunity for you. I’m hosting a free masterclass called “Beyond the Mat.” In this masterclass, I’ll dive deeper into how you can develop your own coaching framework, what you need to be a coach, how to package your knowledge into compelling offers, and attract high-paying clients.

I am so excited about this masterclass because adding coaching and 1:1 high-ticket offers has been a game changer for me and so many of my clients. I can’t wait for you to also double your income and impact!

Remember, it’s not about how many certifications you have, but how you use your knowledge to create value for your students. I look forward to seeing you in the masterclass!
